![]() The HUI runs fine when set up as a MIDI peripheral. ![]() My audio interface is a Digi 003 Rack, and I have a USB Uno MIDI interface that I run a HUI control surface with. Audio MIDI sequencer (DAW) English language version, Flexible DAW for recording, mixing, post-production and controlling live shows, etc., Chunks function. I’m running PT 10.3.7 on an Intel MacBook Pro 3,1 from 2007, with OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). I have tried trashing preferences, manually removing MOTU drivers with these instructions, and reinstalling Pro Tools – but no luck yet. One other thing worth mentioning is if I try to open Audio MIDI Setup while Pro Tools is running, AMS crashes. It occurs with both MIDI and Instrument tracks within Pro Tools. The issue occurs with all the soft-synths I have: both Avid and 3rd-party plugins. Some other threads have mentioned that MOTU and Avid drivers don’t play nicely, but I haven’t seen any particular files that might be the culprit. This makes me think that there are some files (probably MOTU drivers) from the DP install that did not get removed and are interfering with the way Pro Tools processes MIDI input. The only way I could get it to work correctly was if I unmounted my native drive (the one that had DP on it) before starting Pro Tools for the first time. I tried booting from a backup drive with Pro Tools 9 on it, which had never had Digital Performer installed, but had the same issue. I have Logic 9 installed on the same system which still input-monitors MIDI notes fine, and DP worked as well when I had it installed, but Pro Tools won’t do it for whatever reason.
